Jihadists Don’t Want You to See This Video, and YouTube Complied

By

YouTube on Thursday faced major backlash after it removed a video of a Muslim man explaining why he no longer hates Israel.

Kasim Hafeez is a British Muslim and pro-Israel activist. This week he published a special video under the banner of Prager University (PragerU).

In the video, Hafeez explained that, like most Muslims, he was raised to hate Israel and the Jews. But after actually visiting Israel, he was “de-radicalized.”

Now, he is a strong advocate for the Jewish state.

Hate speech?

But apparently someone didn’t like a Muslim man speaking out on behalf of Israel. And so complaints poured in to YouTube, which promptly labeled the video as “hate speech” and removed it.

A counter petition that gathered over 105,000 signatures in less than a day forced YouTube to re-upload the video in “Restricted Mode.” That means only some people will see it.
