Woman Tracks Down Car Thief, Drags Him From Barbershop By His Hair

An alleged car thief was dragged out of a barbershop by his dreadlocks by a woman he stole a car from last week.

Bianca Chambers said that someone stole her brand-new, white Mercedes Benz from outside a strip mall on the West Side last week, so she turned to social media tips to track her vehicle down, WJBK reported.

She followed leads around the city for two days and called 911 four times during that period, but her car was always gone by the time police arrived.

On the third day, the tips landed her at a local barbershop, WJBK reported.

“At that point, I was like…I’m not letting this man walk again,” she told WJBK.

Chambers activated her cell phone video recording feature and headed inside.

“Excuse me, you got the Benz out there?” she asked 19-year-old Michael Tolbert, who was sitting in a chair having his dreadlocks twisted.

Tolbert’s response was unclear, but Chambers was sure she’d found the culprit.

“Yes, you do!” she exclaimed, just before a scuffle broke out between her and Tolbert, jostling the camera.

The video showed Tolbert as the irate woman and a group of bystanders dragged him from the shop by his hair and headed outside.
