So many believed so strongly that it would never come to this. But President Trump took aim at North Korea on Thursday in a most unprecedented way.
Up until now, the White House (Trump’s and those before his) have always spoken of diplomatic solutions, while keeping the threat of force on the table.
That rhetoric is now past, and Trump’s no longer playing word games.
The only thing left on the table is military force, and Trump just declared that if Pyongyang doesn’t back down, it’s going to be “a very sad day for North Korea.”
