What Brought the Texas Church Shooting to an End is a Liberal’s Worst Nightmare

You could just hear liberals chomping at the bit the moment news broke that innocent churchgoers had been massacred by a gunman in Texas.

It was a scenario tailor-made to advocating for greater gun control (i.e. revoking the Second Amendment).

And then, details of what really happened started to roll out.

Ultimately, the tragedy marked not an unqualified victory for the liberal narrative on guns, but rather a debilitating blow.

You see, the shooter would have killed even more people had it not been for the decisive action of a law-abiding gun owner.

“Bad guys with guns can only be stopped by good guys with guns,” goes the saying. And it was decidedly true in Sutherland Springs, Texas on Sunday.

The unidentified local gun-wielding citizen reportedly engaged in a brief gunfight with the shooter before chasing him from the scene.

The killer then dropped his gun and fled. He was found dead following a short car chase.

Now, some will argue that the shooting would never have happened at all if guns were prohibited.

But, the problem with that logic is that criminals don’t obey the law.

If liberal gun controls were in place, the only person in Sunday’s scenario who wouldn’t have been armed was the law-abiding citizen who prevented more loss of innocent life.

The shooter, Devin P. Kelley, most assuredly would have still found a way to get a gun.

In fact, Kelley had been dishonorably discharged from the military, which by law prohibits him from buying firearms in Texas.

Gun control was already in place for Kelley, and still he was armed!
