Washington Post Forced to APOLOGIZE to Trump for FAKE NEWS

The fake news reporting of the mainstream media is really getting out of hand.

It is they, not President Trump, who are going to eventually cause an international crisis by spreading lies.

The latest example came when the Washington Post ran with an embellished version of an unconfirmed AP report suggesting Trump had threatened to invade Mexico.

Trump did have a very fiery phone call with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, during which he insisted Mexico do more to keep criminals and illegal aliens from crossing the border.

The AP claimed that unnamed sources had given them a transcript of part of the call, during which Trump allegedly said:

“I think your military is scared. Our military isn’t, so I just might send them down to take care of it.”

Unsourced, unconfirmed, and totally without context. But it was just too tempting for the Washington Post, so they put it under the headline: “President Trump Warns Mexico He Might Send U.S. Troops to Take Care of ‘Bad Hombres'”

From there the story spread to other mainstream media peddlers of fake news like Time Magazine, Mother Jones and Vox.

All without checking the facts.

Actually, they didn’t even need to really check. Both the White House and Mexico were yelling at the top of their lungs that Trump made NO SUCH THREAT!

Did you get that? Trump and Mexico were totally denying the details of the story, but the Washington Post and others were having too much fun spreading fake news.

Well, eventually, enough people caught wind of the truth forcing the Washington Post to issue a belated correction:

“Editor’s note: This article has been updated and a reference to an AP report on the details of a phone conversation between President Trump and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto removed because they could not be independently confirmed.”

Great. After you’ve already caused all that damage.

And people wonder why Trump is looking to boycott the mainstream media as much as possible?
