VIDEO: Oprah Says Generations of White People ‘Just Have to Die’

By

fter Oprah’s speech at the Golden Globes Awards, she was courted by the far left to run for president in 2020 against Donald Trump. However, that thought appears to be dead in the water.

54% of respondents in a Marist poll say Oprah shouldn’t even run for the highest office in the land.

From Newsmax:

According to the poll’s results:

-54 percent say they don’t want Winfrey to run for president, while 35 percent want her to run for office.

-79 percent of those who identified themselves as “strong Republicans” are against Winfrey running for the office, while 68 percent of those who identified themselves as “soft Republicans” also are against her running.

-51 percent of independent voters are against Winfrey running.

-39 percent of strong Democrats are against Winfrey running, while 50 percent support it, and 47 percent of “soft Democrats” oppose a Winfrey run.

During a 2013 interview, Oprah suggested generations of white people need to die for racism in America to end.

From Conservative Tribune:

However, there is at least one first that Oprah can lay claim to, should she decide run: She would be the first presidential candidate to ever say that a segment of the electorate “just (has) to die.”

Come again? Yes, it seems that Oprah wasn’t too keen on old people she felt were “marinated” in hate. So, during a 2013 interview with the BBC, she said that generation — at least, she implied, its white membership — needed to kick the bucket in order for progress to be made.

[…]

“As long as there are people who still — there’s a whole generation — I say this, you know, I said this, you know, for apartheid, South Africa, I said this for my own, you know, for my own community in the South — there are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die.”
