Trump Tells WH Press Corps Exactly What He Asked for Christmas

President Trump wanted just one thing for Christmas.

Unfortunately, it’s not the kind of thing Santa can really deliver.

Speaking to the White House Press Corps on Christmas Day, Trump slung veiled criticism at Democratic lawmakers for going home for the holiday just after shutting down the government.

Trump, on the other hand, declined to join his family in Florida, and remained in Washington to get some work done.

“I thought it would be wrong for me to be with my family,” he said. “I just didn’t want to go down and be there when other people are hurting, but it’s going to all work out.”

The main thing Americans want, and what Trump said is his primary goal at the moment, is “border security.”

And he vowed to not back down in the face of the Democrats’ shameful efforts to pressure him.

The government is “not going to be open until we have a wall, a fence, whatever they would like to call it,” Trump told reporters.
