Trump STUNS Dems With Fresh Announcement on Border Wall

President Trump is not playing around. He said he’s going to build a wall along the border with Mexico, and, by God, he’s going to build it!

That’s the loud-and-clear message sent by Trump and his team this week as Democratic opposition to the border wall reached fever pitch.

In an interview on Fox News, White House budget director Mick Mulvaney reminded Democrats of a very inconvenient truth.

“We still don’t understand why the Democrats are so wholeheartedly against it. They voted for it in 2006,” Mulvaney told Fox News Sunday. “Then-Sen. Obama voted for it. Sen. Schumer voted for it. Sen. Clinton voted for it. So we don’t understand why Democrats are now playing politics just because Donald Trump is in office.”

Mulvaney was referring to the Secure Fence Act of 2006, which, while not as substantial as Trump’s planned wall, called for erecting a 700-mile double-layer barrier along the Mexico border.

Trump himself took to Twitter to call out Democrats for putting their own political agenda ahead of the safety of Americans.

The president also reminded cost-conscious Americans that ultimately Mexico will be paying for the wall – that it will, in the long run, be an economic boon to the US.
