Trump Just Did It. No One Thought He Would or Could. But He Did!

Regardless of where a candidate stands on the issue, none has been able to actually follow through after becoming president.

The political pressure of actually being in office are just too great to keep most of one’s campaign promises.

But Trump’s a different breed of president, one who is all but immune to the political machinations that prevented his Republican predecessors from taking a stand against abortion.

While it paled in comparison to other issues during the election campaign, Trump did comment a number of times on the topic of abortion, suggesting that he agreed with pro-lifers that life begins at conception, that a fetus is not merely a blob of cells that only becomes “human” after exiting its mother.

Now, Trump’s put that position in writing as part of a strategic four-year plan published on the website of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The document reads:

“HHS accomplishes its mission through programs and initiatives that cover a wide spectrum of activities, serving and protecting Americans at every stage of life, beginning at conception.

“While we may refer to the people we serve as beneficiaries, enrollees, patients, or consumers, our ultimate goal is to improve healthcare outcomes for all people, including the unborn, across healthcare settings.

“A core component of the HHS mission is our dedication to serve all Americans from conception to natural death, but especially those individuals and populations facing or at high risk for economic and social well-being challenges, through effective human services.”

Those are but a few of the places where the document makes explicit reference to human life beginning at conception.

It only naturally follows that to end one of those lives, even before birth, should be considered nothing short of murder.
