Trump is Having an Unprecedented Impact on Midterm Elections

By

President Donald Trump is a veritable force of nature.

For the first time since 1982, midterm congressional elections are expected to have hugely divergent results, and it’s all thanks to the man sitting in the Oval Office.

While Democrats are forecast to win control of the House of Representatives, they will fail to make any significant gains in the Senate, which will remain under Republican control.

One might wonder how that can be.

Political experts who spoke to the New York Post said it’s all Trump.

Many of the House elections are in urban areas, where the president enjoys less support, and where Democrats therefore are likely to win seats currently held by Republicans.

Most of the Senate races, however, are in rural areas, where voters absolutely love Trump, and are absolutely not going to hurt his presidency by replacing Republican senators with Democrats.

“The personality of the president is playing … an outsized role,” explained Monmouth University pollster Patrick Murray.

Would you expect anything less from Donald J. Trump?
