They look perfectly innocent. No one thinks about getting a serious illness from a piece of cake.

But that’s just the risk for people who have recently eaten Swiss roll. Several brands of the delicious treat have just been recalled nationwide.

Flower Foods, Inc., the maker of Swiss Rolls, is voluntarily recalling its product. They are worried about a potential salmonella outbreak.

The Swiss Rolls affected were sold under several brand names, including Walmart’s Great Value, which is distributed nationwide.

According to a local CBS News affiliate, officials with the company said the recall is a precautionary measure.

The rolls were also sold under the brand names Mrs. Freshley’s, Food Lion, H-E-B, Baker’s Treat, Market Square and Captain John Derst’s Old Fashioned Bread. While Great Value was distributed nationwide, these brands were only distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
