Democrats call for Session to resign over meeting with Russia!

“Now, after lying under oath to Congress about his own communications with the Russians, the attorney general must resign,” House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement.

Sessions was asked during his confirmation process directly about whether President Donald Trump’s campaign had ties to Russia during his confirmation hearing.

What’s the truth?

Statement from AG Jeff Session’s office concerning fake news about him and Russia:

There was absolutely nothing misleading about his answer.

Last year, the Senator had over 25 conversation with foreign ambassadors as senior member of the Armed Service Committee, including the British, Korean, Japanese, Polish, Indian, Chinese, Canadian, Australian, German and Russian ambassadors.

He was asked during the hearing about communications between Russia and the Trump campaign – not about meetings he took as a senator and a member of the Armed Service Committee”.

NBC reports, Attorney General Jeff Sessions denied meeting with Russian officials during the course of the presidential election to discuss the Trump campaign, he told NBC News in exclusive remarks early Thursday.

“I have not met with any Russians at any time to discuss any political campaign,” he said, “and those remarks are unbelievable to me and are false. And I don’t have anything else to say about that.”
