Son in a Coma Doesn’t Know Dad Died, But When Mom Asks ‘Do You Know Where Daddy Is?’ His Response Takes Her Breath Away

It was a Sunday morning that would change a family forever. Julie Kemp, her husband, Andy, and their 8-year-old son, Landon, were driving home from church. Suddenly, an ambulance broadsided their car in an intersection.

First responders made it to the scene in time to stabilize Julie. However, her husband, Andy, had died instantly. Her son, Landon, was buried in the backseat under the wreckage. When they finally removed the young boy from the vehicle, he was not breathing.

First responders resuscitated the young child and immediately put him in a helicopter for the hospital. He died two more times that day while medical professionals desperately tried to save him.

“I was so desperate that that was okay. I would take that just to have him. He was all that I had,” mentioned Julie.

The outlook was grim. They told Julie that if her son makes it, he is going to be severely disabled. Julie said she remembered feeling upset at God during her husband’s funeral.

“I was very disappointed. Heartbroken,” she mentioned. “And while I’m sitting at the funeral, I’m fussing at God. I don’t understand why this happened. I don’t understand why he didn’t send angels to protect us, but in the very next breath I’m praying as hard to him as I’ve ever prayed in my life for Landon to live.”

After two weeks in a coma, Landon miraculously opened his eyes with no brain damage! While praise came for Landon’s recovery, Julie was left with the awful task of telling her son that his father had passed away. However, when she asked him if he knew where his dad was, Landon’s response shook her to the core.

“He instructed me, ‘Yes, I know where he’s at. I noticed him in heaven,‘” she mentioned.
