Senator Collins announces decision on Kavanaugh: It’s a YES

By

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) announces she will vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

Collins ripped into the people who promulgated the “outlandish” Swetnick allegation.

Sen. Collins, in a speech based heavily on her close examination of his record AS A JUDGE, says she’s a yes on Kavanaugh. Denounces leak of Ford letter as “unconscionable.” A speech to remember.

Fox News reports: “Today we have come to the conclusion of a confirmation process that has become so dysfunctional it looks more like a caricature of a gutter-level political campaign, than a solemn occasion.”

“A number of senators joined the race to announce their opposition, but they were beaten to the punch by one of our colleagues who actually announced opposition before the nominee’s identity was even known.”
