A manhunt is underway for the gunman accused of shooting a Littleton police officer early Tuesday morning.

Rigoberto “Rigo” Valles Dominguez, 33, is wanted on suspicion of attempted murder of a police officer in connection with the Sept. 21 shooting of Littleton Police Officer David Snook, Littleton Police Chief Doug Stephens said during a press conference on Wednesday.

Dominguez is described as a Hispanic male who stands five feet, five inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.

He has brown eyes and short, buzz-cut brown hair, Chief Stephens said.

Dominguez also has multiple tattoos, including a skull on his right forearm and a saint on his left forearm.

He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous, according to the chief.

Investigators also believe he carjacked a sand-gray 2002 Ford Explorer just blocks away from the scene of the shooting about 12 hours after the confrontation, Chief Stephens said.

The stolen vehicle’s license plate is AGMD94.

It also has a smashed driver’s window, according to the chief.
