Pamela Anderson Comes Forward With New Take on Harvey Weinstein Scandal, and Jaws Hit the Floor

The sexual misconduct scandals that started with heavyweight producer Harvey Weinstein have rocked Hollywood to its core.

The natural reaction is sympathy for the accusers, and utter disgust with the perpetrators.

But former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, herself no stranger to scandals of a sexual nature, has come forward with a new take on Weinstein that might not sit well with many of his accusers.

Speaking with NBC’s Megyn Kelly, Anderson said that while Weinstein is indeed human trash, some of his victims must at least accept partial responsibility for the humiliations they endured.

Anderson stated:

“When I came to Hollywood, of course, I had a lot of offers to do private auditions and things that made absolutely no sense. Just common sense: don’t go into a hotel room alone. Don’t. If someone enters a door in a bathrobe — leave. These things that are common sense.”

In other words, a lot of young actresses knowingly exposed themselves to sexual abuse because they wanted a role in Weinstein’s next blockbuster.

Naturally, a lot of folks are now accusing Anderson of blaming the victims, but it’s pretty clear that’s not what she’s doing.

The bottom line is that Hollywood is a messed up place where a lot of people do a lot of messed up things to get ahead.
