Obama Admin Accused of ‘Hacking’ Conservative News Website

By

Once again with the hypocrisy. Even as he condemns Russia for allegedly hacking Democratic Party servers, President Obama is accused of a direct cyber-attack on a top conservative news website.

And, it should be noted, the proprietor of this site has just as much evidence of Obama’s wrong-doing as Obama has of Russian hacking.

On Thursday, the Drudge Report website crashed for as long as 90 minutes, before being restored.

The site’s eponymous founder, Matt Drudge, took to Twitter:

“Is the US government attacking DRUDGE REPORT? Biggest DDoS since site’s inception. VERY suspicious routing [and timing].”

Drudge Report has for years been one of the largest and most popular independent conservative news websites.

The site was busy reporting on Russia’s humorous reaction to Obama’s spiteful actions against it when the attack occurred.

A massive DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack flooded Drudge with more hits than its servers could handle, causing them to crash.

At the same time, Russia’s state-run RT suffered an attack taking it offline for many users.

Similar attacks in recent months have succeeded in taking down some of the Internet’s largest websites like Twitter, Netflix and Reddit.
