The mother of the little boy who J.K. Rowlng claimed President Trump snubbed on Twitter over the weekend has spoken out about the incident in defense of the President, according to BizPacReview.
Still no sign of an apology from Rowling, however.
Check it out:
Rowling was widely slammed for spreading a lie on Twitter by claiming Trump had callously ignored a wheelchair-bound disabled boy at a White House event spotlighting the failures of Obamacare. That was 100% false.
On Sunday, the boy’s frustrated mother, Marjorie Weer, took to social media to let Rowling know that she was wrong about Trump. Weer wrote on Facebook:
If someone can please get a message to J.K. Rowling: Trump didn’t snub my son, and Monty wasn’t even trying to shake his hand.
1. He’s 3 and hand shaking is not his thing,2. he was showing off his newly acquired secret service patch.
Rowling berated the President in a 4-tweet rant, accusing him of ignoring the boy (who is wheelchair-bound) after he was reaching for a handshake.
Numerous other celebrities and news personalities have come forward to demand an apology from Rowling, but none as of yet.
Here’s a clip of what actually happened between the President and the little boy:

So @jk_rowling is on a tirade about how Trump ignored a kid in a wheelchair, but she conveniently left out the clip from the beginning: pic.twitter.com/v3tBXI8WY9

Even Piers Morgan caught her:
