Media Tries to AMBUSH Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Over Friendship With Trump, Gets INSTANTLY Destroyed

The liberal mainstream media just can’t stop making fools of themselves when it come to President Trump.

Matt Lauer, host of NBC’s The Today Show, was the latest to fall into this trap as he tried to AMBUSH the owner of the New England Patriots following their Super Bowl win.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft sat with Lauer to talk about his team’s stunning comeback victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

But Lauer wanted to talk about how a number of Patriots players will not join the rest of the team in visiting the White House, as is tradition for the Super Bowl victors.

Lauer, like most of the liberal media, wants to believe that’s because those players simply cannot stand to be in the presence of President Trump.

And given that Kraft is a long-time friend of Trump’s, Lauer was certain that makes it hard for him to manage players who don’t like the president.

“Has your relationship with Donald Trump in any way strained your relationship with some of your players, who by the way, some say they don’t want to go to the White House to celebrate this win?” he asked smugly.

Kraft’s response was PERFECT.

“Every time we’ve had the privilege of going to the White House, a dozen of our players don’t go,” Kraft said. “This is the first time it’s gotten any media attention.”

The Patriots won the Super Bowl three times during the Bush Jr. presidency and once during Obama’s time in office.

Each of those times, a number of players missed the White House visit. And the media said nothing about it.

Either that fact simply slipped Lauer’s mind, or this is the measure of “professional” journalism these days.

Good thing Kraft was there to set him straight.
