Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Daughter Arrested By NYPD At Riot

The daughter of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has been arrested.

New York, NY – Chiara de Blasio, 25, the daughter of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, was arrested by NYPD in Manhattan Saturday.

Police declared an unlawful assembly amid rioting at 12 Street and Broadway Saturday night, according to NY Post.

Chiara was blocking traffic at around 10:30 p.m. on Broadway and refused to move, according to NY Post.

She was arrested, given a citation, and released.

Her arrest came as 47 NYPD vehicles were set on fire and damaged in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Rioters were also attacking police officers.

An estimated 33 police officers were injured in the city, according to WNBC.

The protests appeared to start of less violent on Sunday night.
