LYING Obama Purposely Misquotes Reagan to Justify His Agenda

By

When President Obama last week ordered his ambassador to the UN to betray Israel, he had her misquote Ronald Reagan to justify the dastardly move.

Such lies and deception have come to characterize the Obama presidency. Thank God we’ll soon have a real leader in the White House.

After the UN Security Council voted 14-0 that Jews are not allowed to live in their biblical heartland, US Ambassador Samantha Power stood up to explain why she had abstained.

Traditionally, the US has exercised its veto power to shield Israel from such dangerous resolutions.

Power, acting on orders from Obama, purposely manipulated a Ronald Reagan quote:

“Let me begin with a quote: ‘The United States will not support the use of any additional land for the purpose of settlements during the transitional period. Indeed, the immediate adoption of a settlement freeze by Israel, more than any other action, could create the confidence needed for wider participation in these talks. Further settlement activity is in no way necessary for the security of Israel and only diminishes the confidence of the Arabs that a final outcome can be freely and fairly negotiated.'”

That was from an address Reagan gave in 1982 regarding Israel and peace in the Middle East.

But Power, and Obama, took it completely out of context.

Reagan beging by acknowledging that Israel’s pre-1967 borders were barely 10 miles wide at the narrowest point. That put the bulk of its population within artillery range. “I am not about to ask Israel to live that way again,” he says.

So, right there, Reagan is already saying that America does NOT demand a full Israeli withdrawal from the so-called West Bank.

Reagan goes on to explain that the Palestinians should be given a chance to prove they are ready for peace. He strongly suggests that failure to prove good faith would free Israel of all obligations.

All in all, it is clear Reagan was putting the onus on the Palestinians. He did NOT view Israeli settlements as the obstacle to peace.

Not only have Obama and his team betrayed Israel. They are betraying the memory of one of our most beloved presidents.
