This really demonstrates how far America has moved away from God.
Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana just wanted to open a town hall meeting with a simple prayer. But the 200 gathered locals made him regret it.
Before Louisiana State Chaplain Michael Sprague could even get half way through his prayer, the crowd started shouting him down.
“Pray on your own time” … “let’s get on with it” … “separation of church and state.”
“Wow, they booed the name of Jesus,” Cassidy later said to Sprague.
Then the mob turned on a US military veteran who got up to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Seems they had no time for either God or Country.
When Cassidy finally took the stage, the audience spent the entire time venting their rage rather than having a meaningful discussion.
“If all you want to do is vent, this will not be profitable,” the senator told them, but to no avail.
Oh, did we forget to mention – nearly all of the 200 people who showed up (or at least the ones who turned the town hall meeting into a shouting match) were Trump-hating liberals.
They wouldn’t let Cassidy get a word in about the president’s policies.
