At a rally in Alabama on Friday night, President Donald Trump railed against National Football League players who have protested the national anthem.
He said players who disrespect the flag and refuse to stand for the national anthem should be ejected from the stadium and cut from the team.
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b**** off the field right now – he’s fired!'” Trump said.
Kneeling or sitting for the national anthem became a trend last NFL season after then-San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick decided to do so in protest of police brutality and racial inequality. Although Kaepernick remains a free agent this season, several NFL players have continued the anthem protest.
“Trump isn’t going after Kaepernick and Stephen Curry for being black. He’s going after them for their disrespect of America.”
Yes, these are the words of CJ Pearson … a young Trump black supporter!
