JUST IN: 5 Killed by Russian Missile Explosion

Moscow is now confirming that five people were killed in an explosion at a missile test site in Russia’s Arctic regions.

Even more troubling is that the facility houses nuclear fuel, and initial reports suggested that the explosion had caused a spike in radiation levels.

The AFP reported that the accident occurred during a test of a new liquid propellant rocket engine at the Nyonoksa test site on the White Sea.

The facility typically tests missiles for use in nuclear submarines and ships. In other words, atomic weapons.

Which for some raised the question of why Russia is busy developing new delivery systems for what could be nuclear missiles?
