Jussie Smollett Just Got Terrible News Following Sick Anti-Trump Hoax

By

Legally, Jussie Smollett got away with his disgraceful anti-Trump hoax.

But professionally, that little stunt might have ruined him.

According to the Mail Online, Smollett was supposed to have a lead role in an upcoming Broadway production, but was cut at the last minute:

Multiple sources tell DailyMail.com that Smollett has been cut from the upcoming Broadway revival of the 2003 Tony-winning play Take Me Out.

The actor had been in New York to do a reading of that play back in January, just 12 hours before he told police that he had been punched and kicked by two men shouting homophobic and racist slurs outside his apartment.

That report, which police later determined to be false, resulted in a 16-count grand jury indictment that has since been dismissed and a $130,000 lawsuit filed against Smollett by the city of Chicago to cover overtime fees related to the investigation.

Smollett continues to now all wrongdoing, but it seems that it may be too late to save his career as his future on Empire is uncertain and his planned Broadway debut already a bust.
