It Didn’t Take Long. Sheriff Offers Free Gun Class To Teachers, This Happens Right Away…

By

One Ohio Sheriff has explained that the best way to stop a mass shooting from happening is to educate teachers and arm them in order to make sure they know how to protect themselves and their students.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones put a video up on Facebook that explained that “the current way we do things in the school system needs to be changed.”

He said: “We need to put armed personnel in schools. We need to look at metal detectors. This is not going to stop or go away but we need to be prepared and we don’t need to have our heads in the sand.”

When Jones later explained who in schools should be armed, he made the suggestion that retired police officers and military veterans could be hired in schools as guards. He gave a second thought as well, suggesting that teachers should be trained and armed.

Teachers responded very positively to Jones’s offer on Twitter.

Jones was interviewed by WLWT and admitted that he is aware that his plan will stir things up, but he feels that it will be a good way to deal with the issue of school shootings.

What do you think? Is this a good way to stop school shooting in our country?
