ISIS Will Never Forget What ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis Just Did to Them

By

ISIS thought they were home free. Eight years of Barack Obama in the White House had taught the jihadists that America wouldn’t be an obstacle to their sinister agenda.

But all that just changed.

Having now had several months to evaluate the condition of America’s anti-terror military policies, Secretary of Defense James “Mad Dog” Mattis made a disturbing discovery.

The policies put in place by Barack Obama were not only failing to defeat our terrorist foes, they were actually allowing them to grow stronger.

Now, many would argue that that was Obama’s intention all along, given his affinity for Muslim jihadists.

Still, that he did this for so many years thinking he could get away with it demonstrates the hubris of our 44th president.

As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford explained:

“When Secretary Mattis looked at our anti-ISIS campaign, he concluded that in some instances we were essentially just pushing the enemy from one location to another.”

Mattia immediately ordered a change of course, one that now has ISIS and other terror groups finally FEARING American power.

Continued Dunford:

“He asked me and the military chain-of-command to make a conscious effort not to allow ISIS fighters to just flee from one location to another, but rather to deliberately seek to ‘annihilate’ the enemy.”

Mattis has yet to present a comprehensive plan for combatting ISIS and other terror groups in the Middle East.

But he has on several occasions insisted that in the meantime, US forces already on the ground should “annihilate” any terrorists with whom they come into contact.

Said Mattis in a previous interview:

“We have already shifted from attrition tactics where we shove them from one position to another in Iraq and Syria, to annihilation tactics where we surround them. Our intention is that the foreign fighters do not survive the fight to return home.”
