Group Of House Republicans Demand Pelosi ‘Immediately’ Begin Impeachment Proceedings Against Biden


A group of House Republicans sent a letter Monday to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi calling on her to immediately bring impeachment proceedings against President Joe Biden, saying they have lost confidence in his ability to continue to serve as Commander in Chief.

The letter was spearheaded by New York Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney, who was joined by 14 other members of Congress. In it, the House Republicans blasted Biden’s handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan after 13 U. S. service members were killed in a terror attack at the Kabul airport and called on Pelosi to immediately begin impeachment proceedings.

“The American people must have full confidence in their Commander in Chief’s judgment and ability to protect our country and respond decisively to national security threats. A majority of Americans no longer have confidence in President Joseph R. Biden’s ability to carry out his duties as Commander in Chief of the U. S. Armed Forces. His unilateral, reckless decision to retreat from Afghanistan was done against the advice of military and national security experts and it has now put thousands of American military personnel, citizens, and Afghan allies in grave peril,” the lawmakers wrote in the letter.
