Denzel Washington shuts down every trump-hating, Jesus-bashing liberal in Hollywood

Arrogance. Arrogance is what leads Hollywood liberals to think their role as entertainers gives them the right to lecture the rest of America.

It’s because we pay them too much to entertain us that they’ve grown rich, powerful and condescending.

But what these pontificating modern equivalents of the court jester fail to realize is that we don’t care what they think about matters of actual importance.

Nor do we care about their continued success. In fact, their fall is often as entertaining to us as their successes.

There remains a very small handful of actors who still humbly accept this reality.

Denzel Washington is one of them.

At a roundtable discussion with other actors, Washington told his Hollywood colleagues to get off their high horses.

“…people say: ‘Oh, the difficulty of making a movie.’ I’m like, listen, send your son to Iraq–that’s difficult. It’s just a movie. It’s like, relax. I don’t play that precious nonsense.”

Rather than seeing themselves as entitled to tell the rest of American what to do, Washington said fellow actors should be on their knees thanking Americans for the chance to do what they do.

“Making a movie is a luxury,” he stressed. “It’s an opportunity, and most importantly, it’s a gift. Obviously, everybody here is talented enough to do that, but don’t get it twisted. It’s just a movie. It ain’t that big a deal.”

Finally, some truth from Hollywood.
