Democrats Just Admitted It, Trump Was Right All Along

In a phenomenon that seems to repeat itself almost monthly, President Donald Trump has been vindicated.

Liberals, Democratic party leaders and the mainstream media have for weeks been accusing Trump of being responsible the current government shutdown.

But Trump just proved that it’s not him preventing Washington from getting to work, but rather a shameless Democratic leadership that would rather see our nation suffer than work together with the democratically-elected president.

Trump issued a heartfelt appeal to Democrats to let Congress get back to work, complete with offers of compromise on several big-ticket Democratic agenda items.

As Fox News summarized:

“Trump announced that he was prepared to back a three-year extension of protections for 700,000 immigrants who came to the country illegally as children and were shielded from deportation under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.”

Democratic leaders rejected Trump’s offer even before he had a chance to present it to the public.

“It is unlikely that any one of these provisions alone would pass the House, and taken together, they are a non-starter,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“I cannot support the proposed offer as reported and do not believe it can pass the Senate,” added Senator Dick Durbin.

Of course, these were just excuses to avoid working with the president. Pelosi’s party controls the House, and so could pass the provisions Trump is now offering to support. And while Democrats remain a minority in the Senate, if Trump is offering to back some of their initiatives, then at least some Republican senators would follow suit.
