Democratic Insiders Reveal Who’s Likely to Run Against Trump in 2020

By

You better believe that the 2020 presidential election is going to be one of the most raucous political contests in living memory.

Heck, we aren’t even a full year into President Trump’s first term, and already it seems the campaigning has started in earnest.

On both sides.

It’s still largely anyone’s guess who will challenge Trump for the White House three years from now.

It’s predicted at this point that as many as 30 candidates will vie for the Democratic nomination.

But, party insiders say they’ve got a pretty good idea of who the frontrunners will be.

What the Democrats are looking at right now is a Democratic National Convention with a lineup including Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Kamala Harris (CA), Sen. Sherrod Brown (OH), and former Massachusetts

Gov. Deval Patrick.

And, quite frankly, that lineup has most Democrats frustrated.

The party is desperate for new, exciting blood, and all they’re being presented with so far are the same old faces.

Democratic strategist Phil Singer told The Hill:

“You have a bunch of Celine Dions but there’s no Beatles,” said Phil Singer, a Democratic strategist who served as press secretary on Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential run.
