Dem Congressman Gets BAD NEWS After Making Sexual Joke About Kellyanne Conway

By

Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA) may have thought he was making a casual, innocent joke when he suggested Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway looked “familiar” with the kneeling position.

But Richmond has found himself in the midst of a media firestorm that has him being scolded by women’s rights figures and even fellow Democrats.

We are of course talking about Richmond’s remarks at the Washington Press Club Foundation Dinner about Conway’s casually sitting on the Oval Office sofa while texting out photos of visiting black university leaders.

Richmond quipped: “I really just want to know what was going on there, because, you know, I won’t tell anybody. And you can just explain to me that circumstance, because she really looked kind of familiar in that position there.”

But no one thought it was funny.

GOP Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel called the remark “disgusting and offensive.”

And Chelsea Clinton shocked everyone by defending Conway on Twitter.

Conway later told The Daily Caller that if she were a liberal, pro-abortion woman, she’s sure Richmond would never have made such a crude joke about her.

Realizing the trouble he’s in, Richmond tried to “clarify” his remarks:

“Since some people have interpreted my joke to mean something that it didn’t I think it is important to clarify what I meant. Last night was a night of levity. Where I grew up saying that someone is looking or acting ‘familiar’ simply means that they are behaving too comfortably.”

Nice try. But that’s clearly not the context in which he used the word “familiar” in his initial remarks.

Richmond can try to cover it up all he likes, but whatever else he might do in the coming years, he’ll now be most known as the congressman who makes lewd jokes about women.

Amazing what one crude, insensitive comment can do to your career.
