Congressional Team Just Landed in Israel. The Reason Why Has Obama’s Shadow Gov’t FURIOUS

By

Barack Obama did everything in his power to betray Israel and distance the US from its closest ally in the Middle East.

And that included nixing any notion of moving the American embassy to Jerusalem, which would support Israel’s claim to the holy city.

But President Trump has other plans.

Trump is the first president since Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act in 1995 to take seriously his campaign promise to return the US Embassy to the Israeli capital.

And that’s why an official Congressional delegation landed in Israel this weekend to begin deliberations over the embassy move.

A statement released by Israeli lawmaker Yehuda Glick (Likud) said that the Americans were arriving to “closely examine the issue of transferring the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem – both from a practical standpoint as well as politically.”

Glick said that he would again impress on them the “unique history and political reality of Jerusalem, past and present.”

The delegation was also scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and to personally examine potential sites to house the embassy in Jerusalem.

The goal of the trip is to return to President Trump with a full and accurate analysis of when and how to best move the embassy.
