Congress Preparing ‘Onslaught’ Against Obama Legacy

When Donald Trump enters the White House on January 20, it will be the first time since 1928 that Republicans control the presidency and both houses of Congress.

And the Republicans in Congress plan to use that once-in-a-lifetime chance to clear out the destructive policies of Barack Obama.

Making use of the Congressional Review Act, Congress wants to overturn dozens of Obama’s bills and executive orders.

“We plan to robustly use the Congressional Review Act to reverse the midnight regulations of Barack Obama,” Wyoming Republican John Barrasso, leader of the Senate effort, told the Boston Globe.

“His legacy lost. The American people said ‘No, we don’t want that. We want to change direction,'” continued Barrasso.

The Congressional Review Act was put in place over 20 years ago by Newt Gingrich.

The former Speaker of the House is thrilled to see his creation being used in this way.
