Chinese Warship Threatens Americans, So Trump Takes Immediate Action

By

Tensions are rising in the Pacific as China and other challengers begin to realize they are dealing with a very different kind of American president in Donald Trump.

Unlike his predecessors, Trump isn’t about to be pushed around, and will absolutely make use of America’s superior military power.

During a joint US-Australia military maneuver known as Talisman Sabre, China decided to test Trump’s resolve.

The Daily Express reports:

According to the Australian Defence Force (ADF), The Chinese People’s Liberation Army-Navy Type 815 Dongdiao-class auxiliary general intelligence (AGI) vessel was operating off the northeast coast during the Talisman Sabre maneuvers.

Senior Australian military figures condemned China’s actions, particularly while more than 30,000 troops are taking part in biennial war games.

Dr Euan Graham, from the Lowy Institute, told local media: “I think China can only expect that to come back as a message in force from Australia and other countries.

Indeed, Trump has already demonstrated his willingness to send such a message.

Earlier this month, American warships sailed conspicuously close to Triton Island in the South China Sea.

The island is claimed by China, Vietnam and Taiwan. The presence of the USS Stethem, a guided-missile destroyer, off its coast made clear that Trump backs the claim of his ally, Taiwan.

China called the move a violation of its territorial waters and a “serious political and military provocation.”

Chinese officials warned that Beijing would “take all necessary measures to defend itself.”
