Breaking: They Just Declared a State of Emergency

Glad I’m not there.

But the people of Maryland are in need of our thoughts, prayers and support today.

Gov. Larry Hogan has declared a state of emergency in Maryland amidst a heavy storm front that brought powerful winds resulting in power outages, downed trees and dangerous travel conditions.

It’s being dubbed “Winter Storm Riley.”

Said Hogan:

“I want to caution all Marylanders that these dangerously strong winds will continue this evening and into tomorrow. We are continuing to see a number of serious accidents on bridges and roadways, and power outages throughout the state. Please use common sense, heed all warnings, and stay inside and off the roads if possible.”
