BREAKING: Obama Officially Betrays Israel, Stabs American Ally in the Back

By

The Obama Administration made a stunning break with policy on Friday by not vetoing a dangerous anti-Israel resolution at the United Nations.

The resolution demands Israel stop letting Jews live in the so-called West Bank and the eastern side of Jerusalem. Because it was voted on in the Security Council, it carries much more weight.

The resolution passed by a vote of 14-0, with one abstention – the United States.

As a matter of policy, every previous president has vetoed anti-Israel resolutions in the Security Council. This was done to protect Israel, one of America’s closest allies in the world, from harsh sanctions.

But Israel said Obama was determined to finally get his revenge on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The US administration secretly cooked up with the Palestinians an extreme anti-Israeli resolution behind Israel’s back,” a government source in Jerusalem told The Times of Israel.

He went on to explain that Obama had not simply made a point by have the US abstain on the vote.

The passing of this resolution will provide “a tailwind for terror and boycotts and effectively make the Western Wall occupied Palestinian territory.”

Earlier this month, Obama did indeed meet with Palestinians and Egyptian officials regarding a UN resolution. Already at the time, Jerusalem feared Obama would make some spiteful move against both the Jewish state and President-elect Donald Trump.

Trump on Friday tried to get the resolution removed by making an urgent phone call to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Betrayal

But Trump shouldn’t even have had to do that. Obama has effectively betrayed perhaps America’s closest friend and a key strategic ally. Just because he didn’t like their prime minister.

This is childish, not presidential.

“This is an abandonment of Israel which breaks decades of US policy of protecting Israel at the UN and undermines the prospects of working with the next administration of advancing peace,” said the Israeli official.

But Obama likely no longer cares whether or not peace is achieved. He was unable to achieve it, so why should anyone else.
