Breaking: Obama Might Not Get to Build His Presidential Library

This might be the best news you’ve read all day.

Especially if you live in Chicago.

True to his nature, it turns out Barack Obama deceived the good people of Chicago regarding plans for his ridiculously monstrous presidential library.

You see, the Obama Foundation has worked out a convoluted deal with the city whereby it will effectively take control of public land for its own purposes.

And those purposes seem to be going far beyond a genuinely public library.

From the Chicago Tribune:

Protect Our Parks Inc. also claims in its lawsuit, which was filed in U.S. District Court on Monday, that the Chicago Park District and the City of Chicago don’t have the authority to transfer public parkland to a nongovernmental entity such as the Obama Foundation.

The lawsuit, which also names three Chicago-area residents as plaintiffs, argues that such a maneuver would violate state law and represents ‘a short con shell game, a corrupt scheme to deceive and seemingly legitimize an illegal land grab.

The plaintiffs accuse the Obamas of committing an about-face on original plans for the Jackson Park site to be home to a national presidential library that would hold historic documents and archives from Barack Obama’s presidency under the National Archives and Records Administration’s supervision.

Who wants to bet old Barry plans to use this facility as a headquarters for his “shadow” government?
