Biden Admin Considering Sending Cash Payments To Latin America To Stop Illegal Immigration: Report

By

Democrat President Joe Biden is reportedly considering sending cash payments to Latin America to stem the massive surge of illegal immigration that is flooding America’s southern border.

The possible cash transfer program would be targeted at people in the Northern Triangle region of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, Roberta Jacobson, the White House’s southern border coordinator, told Reuters in an interview, without saying who exactly would receive the cash.

Roberta Jacobson, the White House’s southern border coordinator, claimed without providing any details that the money would not be doled out to people. The administration is also considering sending coronavirus vaccines to the region.

“We’re looking at all of the productive options to address both the economic reasons people may be migrating, as well as the protection and security reasons,” she said. “The one thing I can promise you is the U. S. government isn’t going to be handing out money or checks to people.”

The Washington Post reported this week that the explosion in illegal immigration happening on the southern border is so severe that U. S. officials had to change the y-axis on their chart so that it would fully show the level of monthly enforcement data.

“During the busiest month along the Mexico border in nearly two decades, U. S. authorities took 172,331 migrants into custody in March,” the Post reported. “The total included 18,890 teens and children who arrived without parents, a record quantity that overwhelmed U.S. shelter capacity and produced crisis-level crowding inside government border tents.”
