Bernie Sanders: ‘Yes I Would’ Be Biden’s Secretary Of Labor If Asked


Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders said Wednesday that he would accept a nomination from President-elect Joe Biden to serve as the Secretary of Labor, assuming the conditions were right.

“Well, what is true is I want to do everything I can to protect the working families of this country who are under tremendous duress right now and whether that is in the Senate whether thats in the Biden administration,” Sanders told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. “Who knows? Let’s see how that unfolds.”

“If I had a portfolio that allowed me to stand up and fight for working families, would I do it?” he posed. “Yes, I would.”
