American Retakes the Lead – We’re Back on Top

By

President Trump is at it again.

Keeping campaign promises and putting America back on top.

One of those promises was to jump-start the American energy sector, and put an end to policies under which we were dependent on foreign suppliers for our most basic needs.

A major obstacle to that were liberal groups opposed to the US making use of its own oil reserves. But Trump has apparently found a way around them.

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported this week:

“U.S. crude oil production exceeded that of Saudi Arabia for the first time in more than two decades. In June and August, the United States surpassed Russia in crude oil production for the first time since February 1999.”

Just eight years ago, the US was producing a relatively measly 6 million barrels of oil per day. Today, that number has nearly doubled to 11 million barrels a day.

There is no reason for the US to not be leading the world in energy production.

Liberals will complain about the adverse effects of crude oil on the environment, but what they need to remember is that even if we stop drilling, countries like Saudi Arabia won’t follow our example. They’ll just drill more.
