AG Barr Accuses The FBI Of Attempting To Sabotage The Trump Presidency, Says He Will Get To The Bottom Of It

In an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Thursday the attorney general said the Russian investigation was started “without basis.”

Barr told Ingraham that the entire Russian investigation was essentially an effort to “sabotage the presidency.”

He said that there was “something far more troubling” to the investigation than just mere mistakes, hinting at something more sinister.

“I think the president has every right to be frustrated because I think what happened to him was one of the greatest travesties in American history,” he said.

“Even more concerning, actually, is what happened after the campaign, a whole pattern of events while he was president,” the attorney general said.

“To sabotage the presidency, and I think that — or at least have the effect of sabotaging the presidency,” he said.

Barr has vowed that the investigation into what the FBI did and why it did it is ongoing and justice is coming.

“My own view is that the evidence shows that we’re not dealing with just mistakes or sloppiness,” the attorney general said.

“There is something far more troubling here, and we’re going to get to the bottom of it,” he said in the interview.
