9th Circuit Finds New Way to Defy Trump’s Travel Ban. Ready for More Refugees?

By

One of the best ways for liberals to make President Trump look bad is to deny him the ability to keep election promises.

And the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has been working hard to make sure Trump can’t stem the flood of Muslim refugees in this country, as he vowed to do.

The latest tactic employed by these liberal judges (all three of whom were appointed by Bill Clinton) is to insist Trump needs congressional and agency support and recommendations to selectively halt immigration from certain nations.

That despite the fact that past presidents have altered the inflow of refugees without interference from the courts or specific approval from any other body.

Here’s the judges’ wording:

The President’s authority is subject to certain statutory and constitutional restraints. We conclude that the President, in issuing the Executive Order, exceeded the scope of the authority delegated to him by Congress. In suspending the entry of more than 180 million nationals from six countries, suspending the entry of all refugees, and reducing the cap on the admission of refugees from 110,000 to 50,000 for the 2017 fiscal year, the President did not meet the essential precondition to exercising his delegated authority: The President must make a sufficient finding that the entry of these classes of people would be “detrimental to the interests of the United States.”

Are these guys walking around with their eyes closed? Does all the evidence of Muslim refugee violence and crime simply mean nothing to them?

The fact of the matter is that Congress years ago gave the president full authority to manage the inflow of refugees to the US.

But the 9th Circuit wants to sidestep that authority, writing:

This section requires that the President’s findings support the conclusion that entry of all nationals from the six designated countries, all refugees, and refugees in excess of 50,000 would be harmful to the national interest. There is no sufficient finding in EO2 that the entry of the excluded classes would be detrimental to the interests of the United States.

Again, we are talking about refugees from some of the most dangerous countries on earth at present.

More than that, groups like ISIS have publicly announced that they would use the waves of refugees to infiltrate America and other Western nations.

What more evidence do you need?!

Unsurprisingly, the judges concluded by citing none other than Barack Obama on how Muslim refugees from Syria and elsewhere are a good thing for America:

President Obama previously determined that the admission of 110,000 refugees to the United States during fiscal year 2017 was justified by humanitarian concerns or otherwise in the national interest.
