67 Minutes Into Trump’s SOTU, Something Happened That Shocked the World

By

The international community was just put on notice.

Toward the end of his first State of the Union address on Tuesday, President Trump made it perfectly clear that there would from now on be strings attached to American foreign aid.

No longer will our tax dollars be sent to nations and organizations that hate our country and work against our interests.

Trump was directly referencing the fact that so many United Nations members states had voted to condemn his decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

But, it’s an across-the-board policy change.

As Trump noted, those same nations that voted against his decision at the UN were collectively the recipients of a whopping $20 billion in American aid in 2016 alone.

And that highlights a problem Trump will no longer tolerate.

“That is why tonight I am asking Congress to pass legislation to help ensure American foreign assistance dollars always serve American interests and only go to friends of America, not enemies of America,” said the president.

And by now everyone should be perfectly aware that Trump means it.

The flow of cash will be cut off for those nations that think they can with one hand stick a finger in America’s eye, and with the other take our money.
