President Obama has been celebrating all the things he thinks he achieved while in office. But he seems to have left out this one.
For the first time ever, the “Christian” nation of America has been rated among the top 12 nations where Christians are targeted for their faith.
And this happened on Obama’s watch.
Every year, International Christian Concern publishes its “Hall of Shame” report to shine a light on where Christians are being persecuted.
They never imagined American would one day be on that list.
The group’s president, Jeff King, explained in a press statement:
“We felt it was very important this year that we highlight three countries where religious discrimination and persecution are deemed unusual but have reached a certain threshold of concern. These are Mexico, Russia, and sadly, the United States.”
King stressed that physical persecution of Christians in the US is nowhere near as bad as many other nations. At the same time, “a certain segment of the culture and the courts seem to be intent on driving faith out of the public square.”
King says there is a “clear trend line.”
The report itself notes:
“Christians in the U.S. are facing constant attacks in the media, where they are portrayed as bigoted, racist, sexist, and close-minded.”
Perhaps most importantly, the report explains that the liberal establishment in America wants to decide that “you only have full religious freedom and expression in the church and your home. In the public domain, your religious views and thoughts must be restrained and controlled.”
Obama’s legacy, folks.
